The new NFL Rules for 2010-2011

With the NFL season just underway, football scoreboards news has outlined what to expect this season in terms of rule changes. In the NFL meetings, which were held last week, the majority of the suggested rule changes were approved, and they are summarized below.

The overtime rule – Even if the opposition team scores a field goal in sudden death, the other team will get one chance to score. The team will then go for touchdown on the first possession, and if they manage this, the game is over. If both teams score field goals, then the previous sudden death rule will apply, in which the first team to score will win outright.

Kevin Durant – the best player in the world?

In basketball scoreboards news, we will discuss Kevin Durant, and why his recent performances at the Basketball world championship have left many people calling him the “best in the world.”

Kevin Durant was inspired as he led the US team to victory at the World Championships. He was the top scorer in all of the USA’s games, and was the principal reason why the team was so successful. More importantly, he was an essential element in what was a team performance, and his team and linking play was exceptional in every game.

Are Barcelona simply the greatest team of all time?

In soccer scoreboards news, we will discuss how good Barcelona really are. is it right to call “The best team of all time?”

Barcelona is almost universally considered the best team in the world right now. The way they play, the players they have at their disposal, the goals that they score: they consistently amaze on a week-by-week basis. The season before last, they won every single competition that they possibly could have won: no less than six trophies. Last season they did not quite reach these heights: the soccer scoreboards showed that they were ousted from the Champions League by a defense minded Inter Milan, but they still won three trophies.

Best NFL team never to have won the Super Bowl – part 2

Green Bay in 1996: A great 13-3 season and winner of the NFC, Green Bay performed brilliantly in 96. Their QB Brett Favre won the MVP for the 3rd season in a row. Green Bay played in San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game, and the football scoreboards showed a 23-10 victory. However, they were denied their second championship in a row when the unfancied underdogs, the Broncos, shocked them in Super Bowl XXXII.

St. Louis in 2002: A fantastic regular season, with the football scoreboards showing 14-2 in their favour. They became the first (and still only) team in the illustrious history of the NFL to score more than 500 points 3 years in a row. Their start player, Kurt Warner won his second MVP in 3 years. Marshall Faulk reached over 2100 yards from scrimmage. They were expected to walk through Super Bowl XXXVI, and to establish themselves as THE team for the 2000’s. However, the opposing team: the Patriots, who were lead by a rookie-starting QB that no one knew about, had other plans, and they spoiled the party in St.Louis.

Best NFL teams not to have won the Super Bowl – Part 1

In a football scoreboards feature, we will dedicate this article to fantastic NFL teams throughout the ages, who for one reason or another did not win the grandest prize of them all.

The Dolphins in 1984: In Super Bowl XIX, the Dolphins were given a lesson by the 49ers, with the football scoreboards showing 38-16. This was, however, after the Dolphins had destroyed almost every team it had come across that year. Their record for the season was 14-2, and they had racked up an impressive 513 points. 84 had really been a great year for the team. It was the first season for Dan Marino, and it was one of the best QB seasons the NFL had ever seen. He threw a record 47 touchdown passes, which destroyed the previous record of 36. His 5084 passing yards record for one season has still to be beaten, 25 years later.

Which is the best team ever, the Celtics or the Lakers?

In a basketball scoreboards feature, we will look at the Celtics and Lakers, and discover just who is the best team ever to have played in the NBA. Just 10 years ago the Celtics were quite simply way better than any other team. They were considered by far the greatest club ever to grace the NBA, and had won 16 championships, way more than any other club.

However, in the last 10 years things have changed dramatically. The Celtics have won only one title, whilst the Lakers have won no less than 5. Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant rose to stardom for LA, and their profile as a great NBA team increased. Lets look at the facts, and let’s see which team is the greatest:

Most baseball historians accept that the game baseball comes from the English game called rounders. When and how the rules first morphed no one is quite sure. Sources suggest that in the early 1900’s a game called townball or baseball grew in popularity.

The history of basketball in the US.

In a basketball scoreboards feature, we will look at the history of basketball in the US.
Basketball was invented in the late 1800s by the Canadian born James Naismith. He did this in response to the YMCA, who wanted an interesting form of indoor entertainment that could be played all year round. Initially, the game was played with 9 players per team, there was a peach basket instead of hoops, and the ball was smaller and similar to a soccer ball.

The all-dominant NBA was not formed until 1946, and it took it a while to become successful. There were a few early stars and competitive games were held, but the sport did not get much exposure. It took more than 15 years for the popularity of the game to explode and for the league to expand. The basketball scoreboards showed that Bill Russel was the first great star, and he lead his team the Boston Celtics to no less than eight consecutive championships.

The sexiest soccer players in the world

1) Ronaldo
Christiano Ronaldo was born in Madeira, Portugal. Young Ronaldo was an extremely fast runner, and his feet move so quickly that they can stir up the ball, making defenders dizzy. Unfortunately, young Ronaldo was a little too greedy, narcissistic, and selfish.

His success on the soccer scoreboards has also spread beyond the stadium. With a sexy body and a handsome face, and a full name like Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, his popularity went through the roof, even more so among women. Ronaldo has definitely gained celebrity status over the last few years.

2) Beckham
David Beckham is probably the most popular soccer player on the planet. Not only does he liven up soccer scoreboards, but Beckham was actually the reason that this sport became popular among women. He was born in Leytonstone, London, and is married to a former Spice Girl, Victoria Adams. Beckham played for Manchester United in 1993.

In January 2007, Beckham announced that he was leaving the team Real Madrid to go abroad to sign a 5-year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy, which is a Major League Soccer club. His debut with LA Galaxy was on July 21, 2007 in a friendly match against Chelsea.

3) Kaka
Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite is actually Kaka’s full name. He was born in the city of Brasilia. He got the nickname ‘Kaka’ because his little brother was having trouble pronouncing ‘Ricardo’ correctly, so he just called him ‘Kaka’ for short.

When Kaka and his family moved to Sao Paulo, he dreamed of becoming a tennis player. However, his fate directed him to soccer, when talent scouts from the Sao Paulo club searched him out and chose him. So, he signed his first contract at 15, and, with his Sao Paulo junior team, he ended up winning Copa de Juvenil in 2000.

After Kaka moved to Milan, he won over 20 various awards, including FIFA Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or.

4) Gourcuff
Yoann Gourcuff’s professional career began at Rennes and lasted until he was bought by Milan in 2006. He was not provided with permanent placement during his career at San Siro, and then he was loaned to Bordeaux. Gourcuff was trained by Laurent Blanc.

Gourcuff called the former Les Bleus “the person who made me join the Bordeaux”. Laurent Blanc contacted Gourcuff and helped him find his style of play that fits him perfectly.

5) Fabregas
His full name is Francesc Fabregas Soler and he was born in Barcelona on May 4, 1987. As a child, Cesc loved playing soccer. Fortunately, his grandfather sent him directly to the Barcelona Soccer School to study and develop his talent. Cesc spent most of his time playing soccer.
Now Cesc is the pulley of the Spanish team. There are now many clubs who want to get Cesc’s great passes, even Barcelona – his previous club.

The 3 worst MLB teams ever.

The story of the worst baseball teams ever starts in the 1800’s, with the Cleveland Spiders, and ends just 7 years ago with the Detroit Spiders. In between them somewhere there was another shocking team – the New York Mets. All of these teams displayed a distinguished ability to flop. Their performances were not only bad, they were quite simply woeful. The only small cloud in the silver lining for these teams is that we get to commemorate them all this time later, and for the Detroit Spiders, specifically, that they, due to an interesting turn of events, actually received a standing ovation when they left the field on their last game, despite having the worse record of any team for two generations.

The 20 best foreign players to have graced the NBA

Here is a list of the top foreign players to have played in the NBA.

20) Vlade Divac, Serbia – An intelligent center who played in two very talented teams; Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. He had fantastic passing skills for a center.

19) Hedo Turkoglu, Turkey – Despite an unsuccessful season with the Raptors last year, he was a key shooter for the Sacramento Kings, and an important player for the Orlando Magic as they got to the finals.

The 5 worst NFL teams ever to have embarrassed the game

Here are what are quite possibly the worst teams ever to have embarrassed themselves on the gridiron, listed in no particular order.

Football scoreboards terrible team 1 – Miami Dolphins: 2007: 1-15-0
I’m sure that most fans will agree that the performances of this team in 2007 were some of the worst ever seen in the NFL. During the season, off field scandals hampered the team, as four of the players were arrested for various offenses. After this, Cam Cameron was brought in and he was the 7th head coach in the team’s history. Straight away, he fired 7 out of the 11 existing coaches, and got rid of a large number of worthless players, such as McMichael and Morris. The record of one win and 15 losses at least had one win on it. This was against the Baltimore Ravens in overtime.

The worst NBA team of the last decade by region.

Basketball scoreboards east coast bad team of the decade: The New York Knicks in the 2007-08 season. A pitiful performance from a team which had a massive payroll. The average margin of loss was only 6.6 points per game, and they did win 23 games, which is not TOO bad a record. With the finances the team had, however, and the general ridiculousness surrounding the behavior of the coach and team as a whole, the Knicks are definitely the worst NBA team the east coast saw in the last decade.

Yahoo To Show All Premier League Highlights This Season The soccer scoreboards in England lit up recently, as the first games of the season were played. Yahoo UK has a new function that will enable fans of the Barclays Premier League around the globe to watch online highlights of the latest action on the Yahoo site. Yahoo has won the rights for seasons 2010-13, and will show short highlights of every game that is played this season. Each game will have a clip that will last around 5 minutes.

The womens baseball world cup, the most dangerous city in the world, and a stray bullet.

In baseball scoreboards news: Caracas, Venezuela is generally considered the most dangerous city in the world, where an average of over 25 people are day are murdered. Perhaps then it is not so surprising that the women’s baseball world championship has been moved to fully militarized stadiums outside of the city the day after a player was shot in the stadium during a game.
