The NBA’s 3 Most Underrated Players

The Nba’s 3 Most Underrated Players

In a feature, I have chosen the best players in the NBA who I consider do not get the credit that their high level of play warrants.

There are some players who, for one reason or another, simply do not get the credit they deserve. They are players who perform well and are great athletes yet they do not get the attention and appreciation that similar level players get all the time. One of the main reasons for this is often because they play for a team that is weak or not as talked about as other teams are. Whatever the reason, if a player is performing well he should be applauded for his efforts. Here are some players who did not get the attention that they deserve, until now!

Danny Granger
Granger plays for the Indiana Pacers. He is a great shooter. People say that he plays for a bad team but that shouldn’t be the criteria for evaluating a player’s performance. He should be given a lot more credit for his gameplay – the basketball scoreboards show that he is averaging 25.8 points per game which says a lot about this unsung hero of NBA. His game has come on in leaps and bounds over the past few years and a proof of this is the award that he received for being the most improved player in 2009.

David Lee
Another underrated player in the NBA is David lee. He started his career with New York Knicks in 2005 and in 2010 he was traded to Golden State Warriors. While he played for the Knicks he averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds. According to these stats he should be an All star player, however he never has been considered as one. He has worked really hard and it is due to him that the Knicks recently went on a winning streak. Even with this high and consistent level of performance he doesn’t get close to the attention and appreciation he deserves.

Gerald Wallace
Gerald Wallace started his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings, however in 2004 he was drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats. In Wallace’s case the main reason that he is underrated is that he plays for the Bobcats, a team that is not fashionable at all. He is only the third player to average two blocks and two steals. He is a great defensive player and it was only in the 2nd half of 2010 that he finally was given a place in an All Star NBA game and was named to the NBA All-Defensive first team.

Caron Butler
Caron Butler is one of the amazing forwards in NBA. He hasn’t received the kind of appreciation he deserves. He is the most versatile player and until he played for Wizards, he made a difference in the team. He scored 20 points per game. He is known for his athleticism and his unique style of play. He is hit by a number of injuries which has damaged his performance however he remains to be a great underrated forward in NBA. In 2010 he was traded to Dallas Mavericks.
