Each sport varies slightly from the next while maintaining similarities. There are similarities between football, baseball and basketball, speaking strictly from generalities such as competition between two teams. Football and basketball share a bit more with alternative methods of scoring and also having a secondary time clock to speed up a game. Baseball has a more closely related sport in Softball, where the rules remain very similar as do the methods of play. The biggest differences in softball are in the pitching, equipment and field dimensions. Even though the differences are relatively minor compared to say the differences in basketball and soccer, they are enough to force someone to pay attention to them when designing a facility to accomodate softball teams.

Earlier this month the Atlanta Braves inked a Chipper Jones contract that will most likely ensure that he accomplishes the rarest of feats in modern sport: to only play for one team his entire career. Chipper Jones career is likely to end in Atlanta after signing a $42 million three-year contract that has performance options that could extend into a fourth season and a total of $61 million. Jones would be 41 at the end of the contract if it does extend. The oldest active players in Major League Baseball are both 45 years old and are both pitchers.

The outdoor LED sign has become and integrated part to many stores, banks, scoreboards, gas stations and hotel chain's street facing signs, running specials and ads to attract the passing driver. The difference between many of the signs is a matter of cost and what the total use of the sign will be.
