The best games in NBA history combine drama (no one sided games), with the result being not clear until right to the very end. Many of them had great individual performances as well. Here are the games that I consider to be the 5 best 7 gamers ever.

1. St. Louis vs Boston, NBA Finals, April 12th, 1957
It took no less than two overtimes for the Celtics to beat the Hawks with the basketball scoreboards showing 125-123. The then rookie of the year - Tommy Heinsohn, scored 37 points in Game 7. Heinsohn was extremely important, as Sharman and Cousy could only shoot for 5-for-40. Russell did well, scoring 19 points, and making 33 rebounds and 5 blocks.

April 6th, 1996. San Jose vs D.C. United 1-0.
Eric Wynalda scored the only goal in the inaugural game of MLS with the soccer scoreboards showing the 88th minute. FIFA has demanded that the US Soccer Federation set up a professional league, and on this day that obligation was fulfilled. The quality of the game itself was average, but the game was presented well and there was a great build-up to it. This was an extremely important match for MLS, and it was a big success. The principal reason that this game is included in the list is that it grabbed the attention and imagination of a wide variety of people, including fans, journalists, and sponsors.

The wide receiver must have great hands, great intuition, and fantastic speed. He must also have good concentration, as he has a wide variety of routes that he could run, and his QB needs to be able to get the ball out fast to him. The wise receivers get a lot of media attention, as they are the ones who score the big touchdowns that are replayed over and over again on the sports highlights. The wide receiver position is one of the most prominent and important positions, and many great players have fulfilled its role down the years.

February 1st, 2009. Super Bowl XLIII: Steelers vs Cardinals 27-23. The amazing tip-toe catch by Santonio Holmes has been replayed thousand of times. However, if the play had not been made, it would have been 64-yard touchdown from Larry Fitzgarald. The game will also always be remember for the 100-yard interception return, and for the football scoreboards showing a 13-point comeback by the Cardinals in the fourth quarter.

The baseball scoreboards showed that the big 600 mark was reached last week, but very few people noticed it. The great Alex Rodriguez ended his recent drought by hitting over the barrier for his 600 home run. Seven men have reached that number, but no one took as long to get from the 599 to the sacred 600 mark. There was a time when this would have been massive news, brightening up the back and front pages of the newspapers. Journalists would have given a detailed account of the amazing career of the batsman, and supply readers with more stats than they could manage. This, however, has certainly not been the case with Alex Rodriguez.

In baseball scoreboards news, this week Ozzie Guillen, the manger of Chicago, claimed that Asian players were getting preferential treatment over Latin American players. The basis for his dissatisfaction was that Asian players have been getting interpreters supplied and paid for by the teams, whilst Latin American players have had to do without. In the meantime, the majority of Spanish-speaking players who are not fluent in English have had to rely on teammates and coaches.

North Korea appeared on the soccer scoreboards in the 2010 World Cup for only the second time since the inception of the competition. They were placed in Group B with Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast. Their first match was played against Brazil, and although they lost 2-1, North Korea played much better than most people had expected. Their next game against Portugal, however, was a complete disaster for the team, and they were defeated 7-0. Already knocked out, they then lost to Ivory Coast, with the scoreboards showing 3-0. After a promising start, this left them languishing at the bottom of Group B.

Sam Bradford, a top draft pick, has recently recovered from a bad shoulder surgery, and his name has yet to appear on the NFL scoreboards. However, he convinced the St. Louis Rams to offer him no less than $50 million over five years.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has heard the same phrase from Manchester United fans for more than 10 years now: "You gave me the best night of my life!" Off course, the supporters are referring to the best three minutes of their life, in which Solskjaer scored the shock injury time winner to lead Manchester United to European glory, with the soccer scoreboards showing 2-1 to the English team.

Kyle Singler entered the NCAA as one of the best players in a very talented recruiting class. His name appeared on the basketball scoreboards for his school countless times, and he was noted by the scouts at an early age. He is a 6 foot 8, well-sized combo-forward with some fantastic skills, and just a few months ago he was considered as one of the best NBA prospects out there.
