Pace Academy in Atlanta Georgia is one of the nation’s finest preparatory schools. Nestled in Atlanta, Pace Academy works with preschool to twelfth grade students. Their guidelines encompass an attitude of starting small and building confidence. Their attitude is commitment to giving each student and athlete the ability to perform at the highest potential. 2004-2005 Winner of the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence, Pace Academy is proud to have received the highest award that an American school can get. Pace is renowned throughout the state for their incredible balance of arts, sports and education. From old Southern Charm to high tech robotics teams, Pace Academy is an example of one of the finest learning centers in existence. Pace Academy was founded in 1958 and is part of the deep rooted hometown feeling of the Atlanta area. The people of Atlanta share a common bond of belonging. The southern charm and history of Atlanta is incredibly apparent everywhere you go. One of the top growing cities in the country, it somehow holds onto the rich heritage of pride. The beauty of Atlanta is on every street and you get a warm feeling of the kind of care usually only found in smaller towns.

People at Pace Academy in Atlanta Georgia take their baseball very seriously. So much so, that they have two satellite facilities. An eight acre baseball field just three miles from the school and a new field currently under construction. Pace Academy has some of the top coaching, sports medicine and training staff that encourage a positive attitude as a team member and academically. Pace takes great pride in the fact that everyone of their varsity coaches has either player, coached or both at a college level.

Under the care of Coach Charlie Owens, the Pace Academy baseball team won the Georgia Class A State Championship. They are proud to have trained and encouraged the major baseball league catcher and hometown member, Michael Barrett.

Parents, teachers and former students form the Pace Academy Booster Club to encourage the middle and varsity baseball teams. A Pace baseball game is a piece of true Americana. Everyone turns out for the team. Attending a baseball game at Pace Academy returns you to a time gone by: the warm sun, the crack of the ball on a bat, the yelling and cheering of the crowd to make it to home base. There are Moms and Dads, younger and older siblings in the stands. In the background you can smell the wafting scent of the blooming flowers that are all over the Atlanta area. All of this is a sense of experience. You know that this is a time that will not be forgotten, but is a memory that will stay with you.

The concept of honor and team sportsmanship is not just a lesson to be taught, but a lifestyle. Pace Academy has succeeded in making sure that each student carries this attitude with them to whatever their future takes them to. Go Knights!
