Baseball Scoreboards

To drive up morale at a high school game and to bring people out to a college ball park, athletic directors
and baseball managers across the country turn to Electro-Mech Scoreboards. There is nothing quite like the
bright lights and home colors of the baseball scoreboard to get the crowd into the seats and into the games.
From the time the national anthem is played until the bottom of the ninth, fans focus attentively to the baseball
scoreboard for all of their in-game information. Electro-Mech will deliver the right baseball scoreboard for
your program’s needs within your budget and your needs. Give your fans something to cheer about: an Electro-Mech
Scoreboard.

All of our scoreboards come standard with these features:

  • A rugged outside cabinet and long-life LED display to keep the score regardless of the weather. There is
simply no more reliable baseball scoreboard available.
  • Our LED displays save you money. Your program can cut the power bill and be greener by using our technology,
which costs 1/2 the amount of traditional incandescent bulbs.
  • Simple installation that makes adding your Electro-Mech baseball scoreboard a snap.
  • Outstanding service for your baseball scoreboard. We are on your team and want to make sure that the scoreboard
is working for your game before the first swing of the bat.

Fully Customizable Baseball Scoreboards

We make great baseball scoreboards to fit your budget and your programs needs.

There are many levels of information displays to select from. You may need to just cover the bases with the
basic information: inning count, outs, hits and overall score. In that case, the Baseball 1030 model is the
best choice and weights just 110 pounds for easy mounting. As your needs grow, we have over 19
different information display configurations to offer you. Our top-of-the-line model, the 1580 Baseball
Scoreboard, is 36 feet wide and 10 feet high and includes a full information display that includes an
inning-by-inning run count for each team, pitch count, total team runs and errors, current batter number
and the scorer’s ruling from the last play.

You can customize the colors to match your team or program. We offer sixteen different vibrant
standard paint colors for the face of the scoreboard. We can even deliver other colors for an additional fee.
For extra pop, you may want to add a stripe around the edge of the scoreboard–white or gold are very effective.
Finally, with our baseball scoreboards you can even choose from two super-bright LED display colors,
either amber or red. Either light choice is extremely visible from a wide range of angles and in most light
conditions.

Next, you’ll decide how many ID panels to add to your scoreboard. The ID panel displays your team name,
the field name, and images that usually include the team mascot and advertisements. Ads are a critical
revenue maker for many programs and the spaces around the scoreboard are prime real estate that will
attract the most fan attention and should command the highest fees.

You will also have many choices for the shape for your baseball scoreboard. In addition to the standard
rectangular choice, we can add arc features for a domed top or longer arcs for an arched top look.
Our company even offers decorative trusses for a stylish visual package.

LED Baseball Scoreboards

Electro-Mech has been making innovative baseball scoreboards for almost 50 years and during that time
we have seen many changes to the technology used to display game information. Starting from chalkboards
and hanging signs to the stiff digital displays of the 1970s, nothing comes close to the state-of-the-art
LED displays that arrived in the 1990s.

These little Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are able to concentrate all of their power into producing
colored light. This is a huge upgrade from the standard incandescent bulbs, which wasted energy and
sharpness by diluting their power into heat and many wavelengths invisible to the human eye. An LED
display benefits the fans with increased viewing angles and powerful displays that can be seen in
almost any lighting–especially important for baseball day games.

The benefit to your program is even greater because these LEDs cost less in power and last 50 to 100
times longer than incandescent bulbs. Because of the greatly reduced power load, they are less expensive
to install and the equipment needed to run them is also greatly reduced. Our company is a leader in
bringing LED technology to scoreboards. Their first LED scoreboard was built in 1996 and we have been
perfecting it ever since.

Wireless Baseball Scoreboards

The other major technological advance that Electro-Mech has seen since the 1960s has been the arrival
of wireless technology. It used to be that to operate the scoreboard from the score’s table or the press
box, a trench had to be dug, expensive wiring had to be laid and installed and its position was basically
fixed for life. We developed our ScoreLink technology to transmit the signal wirelessly from
the control console straight onto the scoreboard. There is no wiring and all adjustment to the statistics
can be handled from the control console, which seamlessly connects through a radio frequency to a modem
hooked up to the scoreboard. This saves your program costs and hassle and makes the seating configuration
completely flexible.
