Yahoo To Show All Premier League Highlights This Season.

The in England lit up recently, as the first games of the season were played. Yahoo UK has a new function that will enable fans of the Barclays Premier League around the globe to watch online highlights of the latest action on the Yahoo site. Yahoo has won the rights for seasons 2010-13, and will show short highlights of every game that is played this season. Each game will have a clip that will last around 5 minutes.

With the set to light up in the next couple of weeks, the buzz around the next premier league season has began. Who will win it? Are there going to be any surprises? Who will get the fourth spot?

Chelsea looked well set up to retain their trophy this time around. The core players of the club are still there; namely Petr Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba. These players rarely have let the club down in the past. Cole and Ballack have gone, but the quality midfielders Yossi Benayoun and Ramires have replaced them, and they look to be more than adequate replacements.

April 6th, 1996. San Jose vs D.C. United 1-0.
Eric Wynalda scored the only goal in the inaugural game of MLS with the showing the 88th minute. North Korea appeared on the in the 2010 for only the second time since the inception of the competition. They were placed in Group B with Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast. Their first match was played against Brazil, and although they lost 2-1, North Korea played much better than most people had expected. Their next game against Portugal, however, was a complete disaster for the team, and they were defeated 7-0. Already knocked out, they then lost to Ivory Coast, with the showing 3-0. After a promising start, this left them languishing at the bottom of Group B.

On top of that, the number of assists from him last season was incredible. Undoubtedly, he is helped by the fantastic players around him, such as Iniesta and Xavi, who read his game perfectly and are able to play his little one-twos to devastating effect. The in Liverpool will be showing Joe Cole’s name next season, as, in a surprise move, he has been transferred Liverpool from Chelsea. He has been offered wages in the region of $120,000 a week to move to the North-east club. Most pundits expected him to transfer to Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur. Cole left his previous club Chelsea in June after he felt out of favour with the club over the course of last season. Cole is expected to wear the number seven shirt.

Yellow Card Record Set At World Cup Final.

In a physical and tough final in which the final soccer was 1-0 to Spain, the English Referee Howard Webb broke a new record for a final by showing yellow cards to 13 players. All in all 47 fouls were committed in one of the worst tempered finals ever. With a continuous succession of late and aggressive challenges in particular from the Dutch team, Webb was left with little choice. The previous record was 7 yellow cards, but this was beaten in the 57th minute when the referee showed the 7th yellow card to the Dutch defender John Heitinga.

If you are a soccer fan and are in Waleska Georga, it’s an absolute must that you visit Reinhardt College. They have some of the best men’s and women’s soccer teams in the state and the games are an experience you don’t want to miss. 2009 was a crazy season for the soccer teams at Rheinhardt College. Several members of the men’s soccer team were honored with post awards by the AAC (Appalachian Athletic Conference). They had one First Team All-AAC selection, one all-conference pick, one third team All-AAC player and seven players chosen to the all-academic team. Not bad for a little college in northern Georgia.
