The school is located in historic Macon, Georgia, and it has a top notch basketball program that is one of the best in the area, possibly even the state. There were recently three separate scoreboards added at the facilities, to make the game better for the sports fans and the players both. Coach Leroy Jordan is the head coach of the Trojans, and he does this job very well. The team won twenty games last season and only lost five, giving them a terrific record when it comes to basketball. When the blue and gold Trojans take the field, sports fans sit up and take notice. The Basketball Scoreboard 1530, Basketball Scoreboard 2106, and Basketball Scoreboard 2655 that the school decided on and installed makes a big difference in the way that the visitors and team enjoy the game of basketball. The fans come from all over the state, and at times even farther, just to sit in the stands and watch the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans basketball team play.

Tattnall Square Academy has a long history when it comes to sports excellence, and the basketball team proved this again last season when they took the 2008 Regional Championships. The season started out well with four wins in a row. The first game was against Walton Academy, and the Trojans took it fifty eight to fifty five. Then they played Windsor Academy and won, with the scoreboards reflecting eighty to forty one in favor of Tattnall Square Academy. Brentwood also lost, seventy seven to forty two with the Trojans taking home the victory. The game against Southland Academy was the fourth consecutive win for the team, with a score of forty nine to forty one. The game against Deerfield-Windsor was the first loss of the season, fifty four to sixty four, and this losing streak only lasted one game. When Westfield High was played, the Trojans were victorious sixty two to forty eight. Mount Vernon Presbyterian was the second loss of the season for Tattnall Square Academy, with a score of forty six to seventy three. The team turned around and won the next five games, stopping again at one loss. Covenant Christian Ministries Academy lost to the Trojans, and so did Central Fellowship Christian Academy. During both games the scoreboards went crazy.

Next Tattnall Square Academy went on to win against Mount Vernon Presbyterian, Westfield, and Windsor Academy. Then there were two losses in a row for the Trojans, one to Mount Vernon Presbyterian and one to Deerfield-Windsor. The Trojans did not let this stop their momentum though. The team had seven more consecutive wins, and then started the playoff games. First Tattnall Square Academy won a game against First Presbyterian Day to advance to the second game, and the scoreboard showed sixty to forty two. They proceeded to beat the team a second time as well, with a score of forty six to twenty. The game against Stratford Academy was also a success, fifty one to forty eight. It was not until the fourth game of the championships that the Trojans lost again, and this was to Brookwood, fifty to fifty four. The season ended with the Trojans being named the 2008 Basketball Regional Champs, proving once again that basketball is a sport this team knows a great deal about. The great team, first class training and coaching, and the new scoreboards all combine to make Tattnall Square Academy the place basketball sports fans go.
