The transfer of the decade – LeBron James moves to Miami Heat

The Transfer Of The Decade - Lebron James Moves To Miami Heat.

After months of suspense and guess work, LeBron James, probably the greatest US basketball star playing in the NBA today announced that he will play for the Miami Heat next season. Now one thing is for sure, and that is that the Miami is going to bring a smile to its fans next season.

He will leave the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Heat in Florida this autumn in time for the beginning of the next season.
Incredibly, he will earn up to $16m a year in the new deal, but as he is considered one of the greatest basketball players ever perhaps this is not surprising. Even more incredibly, James said that he is going to earn less money playing in Miami than he would had he stayed in Cleveland.

President Barack Obama, who grew up in Chicago, will be disappointed as he said this week that he was hoping that James would decide to join the Chicago Bulls.

The main factor that helped him make his decision was his hunger for trophies. He wants to win the championship and believes that with Miami this will be possible.

His decision to leave his home city and head south to play alongside Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will mean that next season Miami Heat will have one of the most dynamic attacking trio in the history of the NBA. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all turned professional in the same season. They were the first, fourth and fifth players respectively chosen in the 2003 entry draft.

He explained that if you look at all the teams that have won the NBA, such as the Lakers, the Pistons, the Bulls and the Celtics teams, these victories came not just as the result of one superstar dominating the game but through strength in depth and excellent teamwork.

Out of the three, Dwayne Wade, is the only player to have won an NBA championship, in tandem with Shaquille O’Neal in 2006.
Free agents James, Wade and Bosh were wined and dined by teams who spared no expense in trying to convince them to change teams.

The free agents LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh were treated to the finest food and drinks by teams who were willing to spend what it takes to convince them to change teams, but apparently it was due to conversation with his mother that he was finally able to make the choice.

In Lebron’s highest ever scoring game, the basketball scoreboard showed an incredible 56 points. This happened during the 2004-2005 season, ironically against the Toronto Raptors and Chris Bosh.

Perhaps LeBron’s most memorable game was in 2007, when he scored the last 25 points for his team against the Pistons.
