The first team, in 1995 featured one of the first nationally recognizable women’s basketball stars in Rebecca Lobo. The 2002 team went 39 – 0 and the 2003 team almost repeated the feat but ended up 37 -1. However all three teams won the national championship in addition to their remarkable regular season records. But perhaps their most dominant team was the national championship winning team of 2009. This team also was undefeated at 39 – 0 had an astonishing 39 point average margin of victory over opponents.

Since its inception in 1997, the WNBA has established itself as having some of the best competition in women’s basketball.
