MLB Baseball Scoreboard

Major League baseball is a great sport, and the last three seasons this sport has been full of excitement and suspense. The 2008 season started out in the city of Tokyo, Japan, with a game between the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics, and the season saw a number of surprises and accomplishments. The Red Sox won the first game of the season, with the baseball scoreboard reflecting a final score of six to five. The World Series for this year featured the Philadelphia Phillies against the Tampa Bay Rays, and this is the very first time ever that the Rays made it to the WS games. The final score was four to one, and the Phillies went on to win the championship. The All Star game this season was held at the famed Yankee Stadium, and attendance was high.

In the 2007 season, the scoreboards were very busy in Major League baseball. The Boston Red Sox took the World Series, beating out the Colorado Rockies. The National League runner ups were the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 2006 MLB season saw the scoreboards being worked overtime, and fans in high attendance. The World Series games this season between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers were exciting, even if the final score of four to one was not close, with the Cardinals easily taking the series and the championship. For the first time in more than fifteen years the Atlanta Braves did not play well enough to make it to the post season. The League Championships were between the Oakland Athletics and the Detroit Tigers for the American League, and for the National League the games were between the New York Mets and the Cardinals.

Baseball is not the only professional sport that is popular and draws in crowds. The NBA and the game of basketball can make the scoreboards and fans sing as well. The playoffs for the eastern championship were between the Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and for the western championship it was the Los Angeles Lakers against the Denver Nuggets. The 2008 NBA season also saw a lot of excitement, with the Boston Celtics winning against the Los Angeles Lakers in the finals. The Portland Trail Blazers used their draft pick to draft a player who ended up missing every game of this season due to injuries.
